My name is Shelley Grant-Farrell and I am teaching 3rd grade this year. I say this year, because I have the privilege of being able to follow my 2nd graders from last year to their 3rd grade year. This opportunity is quite exciting for me not only do I have the pleasure of working with students I know well, I am also able to follow my passions and focus my energies on words work, reading and writing!
I've been teaching in Vermont since 1980, after graduating from the University of Maine with a BS in education. The course work I've completed has been focused on school, district and state initiatives thus fulfilling my efforts to stay current with the ever-changing world of education.
When I'm not working to meet the needs of my students, I spend my time biking, walking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or practicing yoga. I live with my husband, my daughter and our three aging felines in a treasure we discovered recently in Milton, Vt.
