Open enrollment is your opportunity to make changes to your benefit coverages. This includes health, dental, and vision coverage.

Grand Isle Supervisory Union offers a Section 125 Plan consisting of Flexible Spending Accounts and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts.

During this period, you may choose to add or delete dependents, change health plans or opt-out of coverage completely.

Open enrollment is your chance to sign up to set money aside pre-tax to use toward your medical expenses.

Qualifying Life Events

A Qualifying Life Event is a significant change in your life that triggers a Special Enrollment Period for health insurance, allowing you to enroll in or change your plan outside the standard open enrollment period.

If a Qualifying Life Event takes place in your life and you would like to make changes to your benefits, please reach out to Human Resources.

Note: You have 30 days from the time of the Qualifying Life Event to make changes before the window closes

VSTRS & VMERS: Member Direct

Member Direct is a way for members to access their retirement information. Please log onto retire.vermont.gov to enroll. You will need to request an enrollment PIN - this will be mailed to your address on file the following morning, for security reasons.

BlueCross BlueShield of Vermont: Find a Doctor Tool

BCBS of Vermont has a tool on their website that helps members find in-network providers that are currently accepting new patients. Filter by location, specialty and more! Go to bluecrossvt.org and click on “Find a Doctor” (see below).

Employment Verification

We are dedicated to protecting our employees’ information. For this reason, we use Verifent to confirm verification of employment and/or verification of income (VOE/VOI) requests are legitimate, and a valid permissible purpose exists as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Verifiers seeking employment and/or income information for our employee’s must submit VOE/VOI requests through Verifent.

To Submit a Request:

1. Log in at https://www.verifent.com/log-in. Please note that new Verifent users will need to register and create an account before proceeding.

2. When prompted, enter our unique organization code: 1B5192

3. Please be prepared to provide the employee’s date of birth and last four digits of the Social Security Number.
