“When a community creates a context in which youth can thrive, they will.” This is the concept that the Abenaki Circle of Courage promotes. The Abenaki core values of Belonging, Generosity, Independence, and Mastery are being used in an after school program utilizing traditional dance and other Abenaki customs. This cultural program is for both Native and non-Native students in Swanton and Highgate.
